How the cover for the book 'Haunting Silhouettes' was made

When I first started to design the cover for my book 'Haunting Silhouettes' [then, The Gift of True Love], what I came up with was a photo full of dry leaves. But I did not like to show that my book cover was a dry one... Then I made a GIMP pic which portrayed four ghosts howling, coming out of fire. But again, this had a negative vibe so I went for the third option. The result is what you see
